Information on the MCAT Preparation, Review, Course, Class, Tutoring
We offer specialized customized MCAT teaching, tutoring lessons, preparation and review for traditional, for and non-traditional students, who may have learning difficulties, physical and learning disabilities that require accommodated MCAT testing. The pace of the MCAT Review is customized to address the needs of the individual MCAT student. In addition, highly competitive teachers are available to coach students who want to score a high percentile. MCAT is a knowledge- and skills-based test; however, with preparation, MCAT students can increase their MCAT scores and learn to think critically to solve questions on the MCAT.
MCAT Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems section examines knowledge and critical thinking in Physics, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Biology. With focused MCAT Chemical and Physical Sciences review, students can greatly enhance their MCAT Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems score. Biochemistry, and Organic Chemistry subjects also constitute a significant portion of the MCAT Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems. Many students conclude that the MCAT Biological Sciences section is the most challenging, because this section demands the most critical reasoning and analytical skills on the MCAT. Prior knowledge of the MCAT science material is essential; however, students must learn how to interpret data, process the presented MCAT subject content, and apply quickly their understanding of science on the MCAT. Our MCAT teachers are very familiar with all types of questions on the MCAT, so from the remedial performers to the top 1% MCAT score candidates, the range of all MCAT students can be effectively trained by our expert MCAT teachers.
MCAT students can access Official MCAT Examination Information, MCAT Test Registration, and download and take a full length free MCAT practice test on the AAMC MCAT website. If you choose to enroll in one of our preparation classes or private tutoring review sessions, the AAMC MCAT practice test will serve as the diagnostic.
Our teachers train students for critical thinking and reasoning on the MCAT. A solid preparation on the MCAT Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills section may benefit students on the reasoning components of MCAT Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems, MCAT Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems, and MCAT Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior sections. Therefore, without strong MCAT Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills, students may not reach their full potential on the science sections.
Students should plan their MCAT preparation and review before their scheduled MCAT test date. MCAT preparation and review course spans approximately 12 to 24 weeks ahead of the MCAT administration. We suggest that the students write the MCAT once to score their best with adequate MCAT preparation and review so that they have the most competitive MCAT scores and standing when they apply to medical schools. If a second MCAT sitting is desirable, students may wish to extend their MCAT exam review and preparation and adjust their MCAT preparation course schedule accordingly.
MCAT Preparation and Review are intensive. Between MCAT sessions, students are assigned supplementary MCAT homework to prepare for review sessions. Students may review ten official MCAT practice tests and approximately 3,000 official MCAT questions.
Students can learn the MCAT material and attain the skills necessary for success on the MCAT. Prior testing history and academic background have relevance to the ultimate performance on the MCAT; however, with structured review, students are able to improve their scores when they have remedied the deficiencies that may have been caused by improper academic training, misguided instruction, and ultimately, lack of knowledge and comprehension of the MCAT material. After the initial diagnostic, our expert instructors are able to identify the proper course syllabus to get the MCAT students ready for their test review.
The Association of American Medical Colleges provides official Medical College Admission Test questions and priorly administered MCAT tests. Elmscott & Haxeleigh MCAT Preparation, and MCAT Review focus on official MCAT material, and prepare MCAT students for the scheduled official MCAT. Pertinent additional MCAT assignments and review material are available to supplement the MCAT Tests Review.
Official MCAT exams are administered throughout the year. We offer MCAT preparation courses, lessons, tutoring and review any time during the academic terms and summer. Accelerated MCAT preparation and review lessons may be structured and delivered upon request.
MCAT is often a pre-requisite for admissions to allopathic medical schools, osteopathic medical schools, and various other health professions schools. Admissions and Financial Aid Offices review the MCAT scores of applicants and base their decisions on a combination of factors including the individual section scores on the MCAT, the number of times a student has taken the MCAT test, and the improvement of the MCAT scores between the MCAT tests.
